MARMOMACC 2012: EXPORT, INNOVATION AND DESIGN BEHIND THE RECOVERY FOR "MADE IN ITALY" STONE
With a share of the global market of 14% and exports worth 1.6 billion euros (up by 4.3% in 2011), Italy is still among the “top players” in the natural stone world, ranking in second place. And Marmomacc - the landmark International Exhibition for natural stone, technologies and processing machinery - confirms its status as the best ally for multiplying occasions for meetings between supply and demand and accompanying companies abroad. The 2012 edition will welcome many innovations in business terms, such as Marmomacc Outlook, computerised databases in ten languages with updates about the world stone scenario and Architects-on-line, a web matching system facilitating B2B appointments. Marmomacc once again pays major attention to Italian design that – in accordance with studies by Bocconi University – helps improve export volumes by up to 50%. Space is also dedicated to culture with an entire hall - “Inside Marmomacc” - hosting shows, conventions and training courses.
