Cresme and Marmomacc reveal business opportunities in North African countries
The study will be analysed during the Inaugural Ceremony on Wednesday 30 September

The illustration of the study by Cresme into opportunities in North African countries for natural stone and construction companies is the key event of the Inauguration Ceremony (10 a.m., Rossini Hall, Arena Conference Centre) of the 44th edition of Marmomacc on Wednesday 30 September.
This analysis was developed by Marmomacc with Cresme to offer companies information and data that will allow them to define successful marketing strategies in the search for new market outlets.
"The objectives of this research are substantially based on the fact that the scenario of the world construction market has changed rapidly," said Alfredo Martini of Cresme, "following last year's financial crisis. All markets that seemed to be enjoying expansion, in the Far East and East Europe, have contracted significantly and the system that refers to the Italian marble industry is faced by prospects of epoch-making changes. There have been changes, for example, on the American market, one of the most important for exports, but also and simultaneously on the Indian market which, on the other hand, is the reference for imports of raw materials."
New strategies are needed but their development must be based on reliable data and analysis.
"We must understand which international markets, on the other hand, may ensure a better recovery," Martini added. "Cresme has identified Arab and North African countries as two of the most interesting regions in the next few years. In particular, the North African market - rather like the continent as a whole - is showing signs of growth, unlike the rest of the world."
The study focuses on a specific geographical region: "Our research," Martini concluded, "involves outlining the economic scenario in North Africa and analysis in particular of three countries: Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. In-depth analysis in these three areas highlights the specific dynamics of the construction market, which will provide indications about how the entrepreneurial system should move in these countries."
Cresme is also preparing a second part of the study, dedicated exclusively to companies in the stone and marble industry which will be presented in a specific seminar scheduled in Verona in mid-November.
